HTC HD mini unboxing video

There aren’t too many Windows Mobile handsets being released at the moment but we have seen a few lately. The HD mini follows in the footsteps of its bigger brother, the HD2, and offers a very similar experience albeit within a smaller package.

There’s a raft of new Windows Mobile 6.5 handsets hitting the market at the moment. LG want a piece of the action and have launched the LG GM750. The GM750 is quite similar in form and spec. to the Samsung Omnia Lite that we reviewed a few days ago. It’s strange how LG and Samsung often seem to have very similar handsets out at the same time!

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 unboxing video

If you’ve been following closely you’ll know that a few weeks ago I went off to one of the XPERIA X2 launch events in London where I got to play with the handsets as well as speak to some of the nice people from Sony Ericsson. On Friday SE send over a pre-release sample of the X2 for me to look at so I have an unboxing video and tour for you.

Samsung Omnia Pro B7610 unboxing video

We’ve been looking at quite a few of the Samsung Omnia handsets recently from the Omnia Lite a few weeks ago to the Omnia Pro B7330 just last week. So quite a few reviews are already in progress and will start going up next week so this morning I got my hands on the Omnia Pro B7610. Not sure why Samsung choose to call two handsets virtually the same thing but then we are talking about a company that has a UMPC and an MP3 player with exactly the same product name!

HTC HD2 unboxing video

You cant fail to have noticed the news stories and blog posts about the HTC’s new flagship model, the HTC HD2. The HD2 is an excellent handset and despite having a massive 4.3″ screen HTC have managed to put together a package that feels relatively small in your hand and is slim enough to fit in your pocket.

Acer Tempo F900 HD unboxing video

The F900, still showing fairly obvious Eten design characteristics, appears to be Acer’s answer to the popular HTC Touch HD, having virtually the same screen and a similar footprint. Whether or not the F900 can hold its own against the Touch HD we’ll find out over the next few weeks as we test it for the full review. One thing is certain though, the F900 is a lot cheaper than the Touch HD at under £190 from eXpansys it does, on the face of it, seem like good value for money.

Toshiba TG01 unboxing video

It has been quite a while since we saw a Windows Mobile device from Toshiba and this, the TG01, looks like being one of the more popular handsets they’ve released.

Rumours of the Toshiba TG01 surfaced about 8 months ago but Toshiba put and end to the rumours and speculation by announcing the TG01 officially at MWC in February of this year.

The Acer M900 is a similar size to the TP2 and also has a large WVGA (480×800) touch screen display and, perhaps more importantly, a good sized slicing QWERTY keyboard. The M900 is a little cheaper than it’s rival but has a comparable specification so it’s not surprising that we’re being asked whether we think you should buy the Touch Pro2 or the Acer M900 and how one sizes up against the other.

It doesn’t seem like long ago that I was all excited and telling you about the latest HTC Touch Diamond2 that I’d managed to get my hands on. However this week something else turned up at tracyandmatt towers that I think could be even better! I am of course referring to the eagerly awaited HTC Touch Pro2. I’ve been a fan of the HTC TyTN II for a long time and in fact I still have my original TyTN II and I use it now and then but almost 2 years on it looks and feels a bit old and the Pro2 is the obvious replacement. The Touch Pro just didn’t do it for me!
