Panasonic Lumix FX500 unboxing video

We’ve looked at several Lumix models in the past but this FX500 is one of the higher models from Panasonic. Features include 10MP sensor, 25mm wide angle lens, 5x optical zoom, face chaser, smile sensor, steady shot – the list goes on! There’s even a 3″ Touch Screen on the back to simplify menu navigation and to provide a decent photo preview.

The Voice Messenger has a candy-bar style form and runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard (Smartphone) so there’s no touchscreen. However, we do get integrated GPS, WiFi and a pretty fast CPU coupled with decent ROM and RAM capacity. The front is gloss black and the back and sides are made of polished silver-grey metal which really looks nice if a little Blackberry-ish.

HP iPAQ 914c unboxing video

The iPAQ 914c is another great looking device from HP. The iPAQ 914 is a blackberry-style Windows Mobile device with a fixed full QWERTY keyboard. Typically you would expect a device of this form factor to be a Windows Mobile Standard style Smartphone but in this case HP have included WM 6.1 professional complete with touchscreen.

The HP iPAQ 614 was one of those devices that was subject to big launch delays. It was promised on a particualr date only to fail to meet that deadline etc. It was a bit of a chame really as the months of delays meant that those wanting it got fed up with waiting and bought other devices (Like the Asus P750) and when it was finally launched it wasn’t quite as cutting edge.

That said, that iPAQ 614 was still a great device.

Pretty hefty looking the HP iPAQ 214, at first glance, seems a step back to the original iPAQ days. A PDA Device running Windows Mobile 6 Classic, with all of the standard features you would expect from this operating system – Except, no SIM card or telephone support. HP have integrated full wireless and Bluetooth support into the device so the old days of connecting wires to your desktop may at least be over.

The iPAQ 514 is a basic phone but has a number of features that you might expect to find on a higher-end device such as the inclusion of WiFi.

This unboxing video is of the iPAQ 514c – the ‘c’ denoting that it has a built in camera.
