There’s no denying the popularity of theĀ Net Book form factor at the moment with virtually all laptop manufacturers offering a mini laptop of some kind within their range. We’ve unboxed and reviewed a large number of these in the past from the trend-setting 7″ Asus Eee PC to the more recent 9 and 10″ models that have hit the market.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 in this unboxing video is the higher end model with Windows XP, 1GB RAM and built-in 3G modem. The Dell is more expensive than some of its competitors but feels exceptionally solid and well built. It also looks the part too!
Interestingly Dell don’t make these themselves, instead this is a Dell-badged device made by Compal, the same company that it said to be making the 2nd Generation Aspire One models for Acer.
