This is a good improvement over earlier waterproof models, such as the CA9, which were limited to 720P and waterproof to [...]
Over the past few years we’ve looked almost all of the HD camcorders in Sanyo’s XACTI range. In fact we quite like the Xacti camcorders as they record decent quality HD footage in MP4 format on SD memory cards which makes it easy to transfer to the PC or Mac for editing. Most of the [...]
The FH1 is at the top end of the Xacti range offering the best recording modes, 1080p/1080i/720p, as well as having a 16x optical zoom and 8 megapixel sensor. I’m expecting good things from the FH1! -Matt

This is a good improvement over earlier waterproof models, such as the CA9, which were limited to 720P and waterproof to a depth of just 1.5 metres. Oh and the zoom is up from 5x to 12x as well.
