Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W3 unboxing video

Enjoying the idea of the 3D photos and video I decided to see what other options there were out there and stumbled across the Fujifilm Finepix W3 digital camera. This one seemed to tick all the boxes, has dual 10 megapixel sensors and takes full 10 mp 3D photos as well as taking 720P 3D movies. Furthermore the W3 has a 3.5″ 3D LCD screen and 3x optical zoom. The price isn’t too bad either so I ordered one for delivery here and decided to unbox from the comfort of my hotel.

Nikon D3100 unboxing video

Just the other day blog.IAMNikon.com sent us the new Nikon D3100. Aimed at those wishing to advance from the digital compact ‘point-and-shoot’ camera to something with more control. It packs some features that would be typically found on your average compact that make the transition a little easier. There’s a live view mode with full AF and a guide mode with on-screen help and prompts.

The D3100 even features HD video recording!

Sanyo Xacti VCP-CA100 unboxing video

A few days ago Sanyo sent us their latest Xacti CA100. Similar in design to their previous pistol-grip style cameras the CA100 offers 1080P video recording and is waterproof to a depth of 3m. This is a good improvement over earlier waterproof models, such as the CA9, which were limited to 720P and waterproof to a depth of just 1.5 metres. Oh and the zoom is up from 5x to 12x as well.

Sanyo Xacti CS1 unboxing video

Over the past few years we’ve looked almost all of the HD camcorders in Sanyo’s XACTI range. In fact we quite like the Xacti camcorders as they record decent quality HD footage in MP4 format on SD memory cards which makes it easy to transfer to the PC or Mac for editing. Most of the unboxing videos that you see on our YouTube channel (over 350 videos now! ) were recorded with my Sanyo Xacti HD1010.

The FH1 is at the top end of the Xacti range offering the best recording modes, 1080p/1080i/720p, as well as having a 16x optical zoom and 8 megapixel sensor. I’m expecting good things from the FH1!

Samsung ST550 unboxing video

Not only is the ST550 well specified in the lens and sensor department, with a 4.6x optical zoom, 12 megapixel sensor and 3.5″ touchscreen on the rear but the ST550′s real party piece is the forward facing LCD screen right next to the lens. When you first see this in action you realise what a simple idea it is and wonder why on earth it’s never been done before. How many times have you tried to take a picture of yourself with friends or family holding the camera at arms-length to take shot? Well this makes the process a little easier!

Ever since the Sony released their HDR-FX1000 HD Handycam I’ve wanted to get my hands on one to review. As you are no doubt aware, I record a LOT of video for the website and although I am quite pleased with the results from the Sanyo HD1000 that I use at the moment I wanted to see what a proper high-end camcorder could do.
